Hico, Texas is a vibrant tourist destination but lacked a collective marketing strategy. Green Canoe partnered with the Economic Development Corporation, the City Council, and the Chamber of Commerce to conduct an analysis, and subsequently deploy a marketing strategy and design plan for historic downtown Hico.
Our analysis led us to the conclusion that it is imperative that the historic downtown have a unique identity. We learned that the tourist responded favorably when a historic downtown had its own identity, its own brand, its own website, its own social media platform, and its own unique character. We then gave Hico a unique identity, and deployed a targeted marketing strategy anchored by a robust tourist focused website.
